Instructor Introduction:
Richard H. Rossiter, CEO and founder of Rossiter & Associates Inc., is a former U.S. Army helicopter pilot whose own journey to find relief from chronic shoulder pain led him to create The Rossiter System. It is a series of powerful, results-oriented two-person stretches that can be done on-site, at the workplace, to keep employees healthy, productive and to cut and control medical costs - especially those that begin to build as soon as employees leave the work-site and enter the traditional medical and workers' comp systems for overexertion-related pain, disability and injury.
Rossiter has written three books on stretching to overcome pain, and he was a presenter at the 2008 Manufacturers' Education Council in Columbus as well. In October, he was a luncheon keynote speaker to nearly 170 physicians who attended the International College of Integrative Medicine (Pittsburgh), and he is a frequent exhibitor and speaker at various American Massage Therapy Association meetings and state conventions throughout the U.S.
Throughout the 1990s, his Rossiter System program was installed on-site at dozens of factories throughout the U.S., and direct health-care cost savings of 50%-80% a year were realized at locations where the program was fully supported and implemented. Moreover, employee morale and productivity increased, and the incidence of exertion/overuse injuries dropped. Rossiter is a certified advanced Rolfer (connective tissue specialist) who lives in Cincinnati, Ohio.
